Nearing All Souls and All Saints in November

Journal/Thursday, October 29, 2009

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven ...Ecclesiastes.

We're nearing all souls and all saints day --- and then it too shall pass.

Soon the sky would open up again and angels and saints would scatter and join us, and maybe peep into this earth, once their home.

The churches and the faithful will pray unceasingly, candles will be lit, flowers scattered, peace and a blast of calm togetherness in cemeteries and altars.

Why do we we celebrate these times and days of separation between life and death?

Because the body is fleeting breath and time, but the soul is affirming infinity.

Only with its Creator can it find peace and joy

Only with its Creator can it find wholeness

"The is Lord my refuge... I shall not fear.."

Now, I shall be happy.

Words Don't Spark Yet

Writing has glued me on this chair for hours and days

This undertaking would entail a lot of solitude

Anybody could write, yes; but no - not everyone could endure when writing haunts you
and becomes the only thing that could save you on this planet

I have a scattered mind today and most of the time I just type my old articles

I guess I have to finish typing my old manuscripts for my blogs

My fiction is still buried down

Words don't spark yet

I have lots of books around me - old and new

Where would I begin?

Words inside me

I hope it would resurrect soon

In the land of the living

From the cities of the dead

Words inside me

Let me write.

Character is the essential and moral qualities of a person according to Mr. Webster. It is what you are from birth to old age. It is what you make of yourself, the automatic mustering of defenses in preparation for a flight.

Life is not easy to understand. We can neither plumb the depths nor pierce the shades of its recesses. Good moral qualities alone can nourish and bring light to the numberless loves and hatreds of living. It was unfortunate for me to lose my father at an early age. But at the same time it gave me wisdom. It taught me to move on and reach for my ambitions. Without a Dad means nobody would protect me, so I have to protect myself.

I grew up with a fist despite my gender. I established my own values in conformity with the universal law. Love is the universal law. A universal law is superior to all laws.

This means that from experiences we can acquire qualities that have certain agreement from the self and its struggles in life. These experiences …

Computers and Brain Power

The information – electronic economy is fast rising up. From an industrial society we have shifted to one based on the creation and distribution of information, from the institutional help to more self-reliance, from dependence on hierarchal structures to informal networks (especially in business communities) and from an isolated, self-sufficient national economic system to being part of a global system.

Today’s information technology from computer to cable television is a sophisticated technology that hastens our plunge into the information society. As such, we need to understand and study the new society and the changes it brings.

In an industrial set-up, the strategic resume is capital. A hundred years ago, a lot of people have known how to build a steel plant, but not very many could get the money to build one. Access to the system was limited. But today, “strategic resume is information.” Not only the resource but the most important. The new inform…

Penile Technology

Man fulfills his true definition of man by the satisfaction he gives to a woman.

The Big Daddy of the male genitalia is the penis. Little boys describe it as a means by which urine leaves the body but as they grow into men, they take pride in the penis as copulatory organ.

Some say the penis size does not matter because the vagina is an accommodating hostess, but rare is the man who thinks his penis is big enough, and rare too is the woman who disagrees. That’s why we have urologists who perform operations to enhance the penis.

Penile technology can lengthen the penis for three-eight’s of an inch to two inches, depending on the patient. The suspensory muscles hold the penis close to the body with no blood vessels or nerves cut.

Say’s Waldermar Alarkon, A psychiatrist, “Penile Technology… is the modern techniques in penile management and economics, and is a blend of the physician’s expertise and skill, plus the patient and partner understanding the desire.”

Definitely, it appraises p…

Soup Wonders

I. Let me share, “The Stone Soup Story”

A long time ago, somewhere in Europe, a terrible famine spread throughout the land.

People were selfish with each other that each family kept their food hidden away so no one would find it. Each one fought over food.

One day, a poor traveller arrived and set up a tent by the side of the road. He had with him a large pot, a wooden spoon, and a stone.

The villagers said, “You can't stay here! There is no food for you.”

“That doesn't matter. I have enough food I need,” said the traveller.

In front of his tent, the traveler gathered his sticks and built a fire. He placed his pot on the fire and added some water. The villagers came one by one watching him. The traveller smiled with satisfaction. Then from his pocket, he took out a big stone and put it in the pot. He waited for the water to boil as he stirred patiently and gracefully.

The villagers had gathered around the pot. They were all curious. “What are you making?”

An Equation of Technology

October 6, 2009

High Tech – High Touch

High-tech/ high-touch is a formula used to describe the way we respond to technology. What happens is that whenever a new technology is introduced, a counterbalancing human response is needed. So, the more “high-tech” the more “high touch.”

The parallel growth of high-tech and high-touch took place during the last three decades, a period that appeared chaotic but had it own rhythm and sense. The alienation of the 1950’s was a response to the most intensely industrialized period in history. In the 60’s we mass-marketed the products of the past industrial era. Then high-tech was everywhere. High-touch resulted alongside the technology invasion.

Now, high-tech/ high-touch has truly come of age. Technology and our human potential are the two great challenges and adventures facing humankind today. The great lesson we must learn from the principle of high-tech/ high-touch is a modern version of the ancient Greek ideal “balance.”

Technological I…

On Career Development

What should be done to improve career in the next few weeks, months and a year?

This has always been a question. Let us know answers from a research conducted by several people, psychologists, and management specialists, among others.

There are three main groups of performance factors.

The first group consists of intellectual abilities.

This does not relate to educational qualifications even though this is how it may be assessed but shows a strategic perspective. This means that you can rise above matters of detail and see broader issues and implications in what happens. You can think of overall strategy rather than concentrating simply on day-to-day tactics. You need to be able to take account of influences inside and outside the company before deciding what to do.

Then you need the ability to analyze and judge, analyze problems, devise solutions, scrutinize details. Plan and organize. You need to be able to identify priorities, allo…

I Shall Write, October 1

My thoughts are torn in the pages of empty pictures

Now the walls are so mute

Afraid of the typhoon's wrath, Ondoy

My imaginary friend doesn't speak to me

He's haunted by the pitiful sight of muddy streets

Only the eyes of Jesus keep looking back

If only, we could talk

About Ondoys fury

GOD help us - we call, we call

On the weekend --- the Lord of Pardon visits us again

I told you -

Jesus keeps coming back

And then we would share secrets again

And it would be fine.
